Weed, A Simple Solution When Feed Prices Are High

Roma Bardo September 12, 2020 0

Highly feed prices are one of the problems that breeders often complain about.

Everyone who has a business will want to get a profit. No exception for those who have livestock businesses. But sometimes there are obstacles that must be faced. In livestock business too.Highly feed prices are one of the problems that breeders often complain about. If not immediately look for a solution, it can result in losses, and not profits.

Wild kale, a simple alternative feed that is still abundant in rural areas
Indeed, the increase in the price of animal feed is a natural thing, because the cost of production and raw materials also continue to increase, especially during the current situation. Maybe for small scales breeders and those who are live in villages, the increase in feed prices will not have an impact on their business because they can still look for cheap alternatives to feed. Indeed, factory-produced feed is the best feed Because, concerning composition it has been arranged in such a way that it is very good for livestock development. But once again, the price is quite expensive to make farmers think twice, how to find a solution so that the cost of feed can be reduced.

For those who are live in villages like me, the high’s price of feed is not a burden Because, in the village there are still so many raw materials that can be used as alternative feed. Besides leaves such as papaya leaves, cassava leaves, and also kale which are relatively cheap, there are more feed ingredients that can be obtained free of charge. Weed or wild kale leaves a very annoying crop for farmers. Wild kale leaves are found in rice fields and irrigation channels. How to process it is quite simple.

Wild water spinach that has been boiled is ready to be combined with the bran and remaining rice.
Take the leaves of wild kale to taste, then wash thoroughly under running water. The next step is to slice it into small pieces, so that the chicken does not have trouble swallowing. Boil the weed leaves until they turn brown, remove from heat and chill. Combine the weed leaf stew with bran and dry rice that has been previously soaked in hot water. Now cheap rural fodder is ready to be served. Your livestock will grow fast with this food, besides that you can save on expenses for feed costs. Besides weeds or wild kale, there are other wild plants that you can use as an alternative to your livestock feed. Wild water spinach, this plant is also widely available around rice fields. The way the process is almost the same as how to cultivate weeds. First take enough wild kale, adjust the number of your livestock. The second step wash thoroughly with running water. Cut the stems, and leaves into small pieces, then boiled them until the wild kale stems are soft. Mix boiled wild kale with bran and remaining rice. A second version of the village's cheap fodder is ready to serve.

That's a simple solution for those of you, especially those who are live in rural areas and are raising livestock but are constrained by the high cost of feed. There is no God's creation in vain, we can also take advantage of weeds, one of which is an alternative to factory feed. Therefore, let's protect our environment, do not damage it and care for the earth where we live.
